C&R Outdoor Rooms , were great, we have a house 2 hrs away in Mynytho, Wales. and they did the job for us. Very professional and to an excellent standard. Replaced all windows and doors, did the roof insulation and also gave me excellent advice on the property. Chris is a professional man within the industry. If you want any advice regarding anything on your property Chris is your man, he is able to do anything and/or get the right person to do the job for you. Electricians/Plumbers or whatever, he will sort it out for you.

Great team - They replaced our slate roof that hadn't been repaired in many decades. They fitted new breathable felt, fitted new battens, repaired dips in the rafters, salvaged at least 80% of the existing slate, fitted a skylight window, and got a good match for any replacements. The best part was the care in aligning the old roof to the newer extension, as the pitch was a long way out from the original build. Even the neighbors complimented the great work in aligning the two sections of roof. I would use them again.... and we have plenty that needs doing!

What about planning permission?

In most cases you won't need planning permission to erect a garden room if it's under 2.5m tall and doesn’t project beyond the front wall of your house.

In general, adding a stand-alone, single storey garden room to the rear or side garden is usually allowed under Permitted Development. However, we recommend that you check the Government’s Planning Portal online before starting any work on a garden room to ensure you comply with the rules. The planning portal refers to garden rooms as outbuildings.

DO GARDEN ROOMS ADD VALUE TO A PROPERTY?

Does my garden room come with electrics and a power pack?

All of our garden rooms come with an electric pack which includes, four spotlights, one double switch, three double sockets, panel heater, consumer unit and two external down lights, however, you will need to arrange for armoured cable to be installed from the house to the garden room. You will need to consider the path of the cable and ensure there are no obstacles in the way. You will also need to arrange an electrician to connect the power. Can I paint the interior walls of a garden room?

Our garden rooms are supplied with a OSB interior finish as standard with the option to upgrade to plasterboard or plasterboard and plaster skim, giving you the option to decorate however you choose. We also offer an interior cladding upgrade option which is durable, low maintenance and does not need painting.

Yes, all garden rooms are fully insulated. That makes them perfect indoor environments, whatever the weather. So even in the depths of winter, you’ll have a warm, relaxing space. In that respect, a garden room functions just like any other room in your house.

Can I fix things to the walls of a garden room?

Yes, you can fix things to the walls of your garden room. You must ensure that you use the correct and appropriate fixings for heavy items. For smaller/lighter items such as picture frames adhesive hanging strips are sufficient providing that you follow the manufacturers instructions.

Can I get plumbing to my garden room?
